Where will I be met at Geneva airport?

A Le Praz Transfers representative will meet you in the Swiss arrivals area. This is just outside of the doors of the baggage collection hall. We will be waiting near the information desk directly in front of where you exit . Our rep will be holding a white board with your name clearly marked. This will be the name provided at the time of booking or the group leaders’ name. Text us when you land !

What do I do if my flight is delayed?

You must contact Le Praz Transfers ASAP to inform us of the delay and any updates using our contact details. We will then identify the most effective solution for your transfer.

If I can’t find the driver or rep what do I do?

You can call our office or contact mobile numbers. 0033648017807    00447970103259  or send us a text , Geneva can have very poor reception Inside Building !

How long will I have to wait at Geneva airport before my transfer departs the airport?

If you have booked a private transfer then there will be no delay and we can depart as soon as you arrive in the arrivals hall.

If you have booked a shared transfer we aim to depart within 1 hr. If other flights on your transfer are delayed or baggage has been misplaced/ reports need to be filled out: it could be a little longer. Our goal is to get you to your destination as safely and efficiently as possible.

How long will my transfer take?

Our transfer times are indicated at the bottom of this page. They refer to actual driving time to the centre of the resort in question. These are approximate and assume good weather and traffic conditions.

Can I be picked up or dropped off from another point outside the Swiss arrivals area of Geneva airport?

Yes, of course. Our license enables us to pick up passengers anywhere in the Canton de Geneve so hotels, the train station and other pick up points are not a problem, but a Small travel surcharge may apply .

Additionally if you are arriving on the French side of GVA you must inform us. Any different pick up points must be indicated at the time of booking and may be liable to an additional charge.However its a simple 5 min walk within the airport to the Swiss side.

Departure information

What time will I be picked up on my departure day?

This will be indicated on your booking confirmation ticket. For instance most transfers would be at least 4 hrs before your flight departure time. Having provided a suitable mobile contact number to Le Praz Transfers you will normally receive a text the evening before confirming your pick up time. However, Le Praz Transfers reserve the right to change this time. If bad weather or adverse traffic conditions are predicted it may be necessary to modify this time. Half Term and French school Holidays can add 2 to 4 hours to a normally short transfer time. Despite what airlines may say: as regular travelers we know it can take 90mins to clear security and some gates are a 15min walk from security.

Where will I picked up on my departure day?

This will be the same place as your arrival point and the address specified on your original booking form. If you wish to change this to another point in the same resort you can do so but we can normally only accept a change no less than 48hrs before your scheduled pick up time. You must contact Le Praz Transfers with the numbers provided. You must be ready with all baggage as any small delay could cause you to miss your flight.

Special baggage and seating requirements

We have children in our group, what seats can you provide?

Le Praz Transfers can provide two types of seats.

Child seats for babies and children or Child booster seats. Please indicate these requirements at your time of booking as it is a EU requirement for children up to 12yrs and 135cm to travel with this type of seating assistance.

Oversized baggage lost baggage what do we do?

All special baggage requirements must be indicated at the time of booking at the appropriate point on the booking form. Our vehicles have ample size for most types of ski and holiday baggage. all skis up to 170cm fit easily into all vehicles. Please inform us of any skis or bags over 170cm. Le Praz Transfers may refuse to carry these non specified items if we have no room as a result of not being informed. LOST BAGGAGE – Contact lePraz Transfers Imediately.

Payment, privacy and online security

Payment

If you have not already paid, please pay the driver when you arrive in resort.

(Do not Pay at the airport! The law only allows us to take pre booked transfers and handing over cash at the airport may be seen as a deal at the airport.)

Privacy / credit card details

At Le Praz Transfers we take your personal privacy and information seriously. Any information collected by us in relation to your enquiry or booking will only be used for these purposes and will not be passed onto other 3rd parties. Card Details are destroyed on compleation of the transfers.

Form time to time you may be contacted by Le Praz Transfers to inform you of recent changes or promotions. However, if you do not wish to be contacted in this fashion you can automatically unsubscribe from this list or write to info@lepraz.co

We will not keep your personal information for longer than necessary and have processes in place for the safe destruction of these records in accordance with French and UK guidelines.

Online Security

One of our highest priorities is to ensure your privacy and peace of mind by employing some of the most advanced online security measures. The industry browsers today utilize an encryption method called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). SSL is software-based security protocol that encodes data before it is transmitted over the Internet.

What is a shared transfer/ How does it work/ How much time do I have to wait at the Airport.

Le Praz Transfers has two goals when planning shared transfers: 1. To minimise waiting time to the client 2. To ensure that no client with a confirmed reservation is left behind at the airport because of circumstances outside of their control (such as delays with flights, customs or baggage).
For arrivals at Geneva airport, clients whose flights are scheduled to arrive at a similar time will be grouped to travel together. Our aim is that our clients should not wait more than an hour at the airport before the departure of the transfer.

Top tip: If you want to leave the airport as soon as you arrive, you should book one of our competitively priced private transfers.
Many circumstances outside of our control (such as flight, baggage or customs delays, traffic conditions, other passengers), can affect the planning for shared transfers. We appreciate your patience when delays occur.
Where unforeseen circumstances have arisen causing delays, we will always keep clients informed of the steps that we are taking to minimise waiting times, such as moving passengers to another of our transfer services (in the high season we have over 10 departures a day), or to a service with one of our partner operators.
In case of delays, we do ask that you support our drivers and office staff that are at all times doing the best they can to ensure that you leave the airport as soon as possible.

Changing a booking

If you need to change the time or date of one of your transfers, we will do our best to do so without charge providing it does not interupt our schedules.

If you need to make any changes to your booking you should notify the office by email at least 7 Days before your transfer. After this time we cannot always accommodate a change. Some changes may incur additional charges – we will advise you in if this is the case.

If you need to change your in-resort address for pickup, this should be done by email at least 48hrs before your transfer date. After this time we cannot always accommodate a change of address, in which case we may ask you to go to a central meeting point (such as the train station). Le Praz Transfers will not be liable for the cost of any supplementary transport needed to get to this meeting point from your accommodation.

If you need to change the time or date of one of your transfers, we will do our best to do so without charge this may constitute a cancellation of your original booking and in such a case, our cancellation policy will apply. In that case you will need to make a new transfer booking and pay for this new fare.

Transfer Times

From  Geneva , Lyon and Grenoble most transfers will take from 2 hrs 15mins  to 2 hrs  30mins Driving time to Most Meribel and Courchevel Resorts. The higher parts of both resorts such as 1850 Courchevel and Mottaret will be slightly longer. Val Thorens is about 3hrs from these Airports. Transfers from Chambery are about 1 hr less . Most operators won’t tell you BUT these times can double on french holidays.
